Initiator and bandleader Homero Alvarez is also active as a guitarist in a range of different musical projects and constellations — sometimes as a bandleader, sometimes as a contributing musician.

Alongside performing, the work includes roles as composer, arranger, producer and writer, with a musical background spanning jazz, Latin American music and multiple other genres.

Many years of composing for theatre, film, television and radio have also provided musical material that has found its way into the music of the Sep7ett.

Current other projects and collaborations include La Liga Habanera, Simone Moreno, Caro Luna, Anders von Hofsten and Liliana Zavala.
